When Will I Hear From My Event/Coordinator from the venue?

Throughout this planning journey you will be hearing from Linda Wojak, wedding coordinator, for updates on your venue. 

When Deposits Are Due:
Linda (lwojak@shanercorp.com) will be reaching out to you a few days before your next deposit is due to verify the credit card and amount.
See your contract for exact deposit schedule. 

You can change the form of payment at anytime.  Ask Linda to send you a new Credit Card Authorization through Sertifi to change the payment before the next deposit is due.

When Catering Choices Are Due:
2 Months to your date, Linda will reach out to start picking your specific food items.  This includes for your wedding day and all other events.

Final Guest Count Is Due:
3 Weeks to your date, your final guest count is due on all wedding events.

You will also share any guests with dietary restrictions, allergies, kids under 21, and any kids meals.  If you would like any bar enhancements, you can let us know at this time. 

Banquet Event Orders (BEO) will be sent to you to review and e-sign through Sertifi for all the final details for your wedding events. 

Once these BEOs are signed, the final balance will be taken. You will be unable to reduce your guest count after your final balance is taken.

All Final Rental Items Due:
3 Weeks to your date, all orders for rental items from the venue located on the Wedding Enhancement Menu are due. This includes upgraded chairs, tent options, lighting, ect


Is the Administration Fee on the BEO Tips for the Staff?
Part of the Administration Fee on the BEOs go towards your service staff as gratuities.  This includes setup team, servers, bartenders, chef.  This does NOT include tips for any vendors that are included in your package.

Catering & Bar Menu

We are constantly working on creating and updating our culinary options to best fit with the current season offerings and trends. 
 
This means our menus may change slightly from when you booked to when your food choices are due.  You can visit this page at the 2 month marker to see the most current catering offerings here.
 
Your final catering choices will be due 2 months prior to your wedding date.  We will reach out to at that time to ask you for your choices.

What About Kids?

Your final guest count will include all heads that will be present- including kids and the two of you.

Kids up to 5 years old are free
Kids 6 - 10 year old are half price of the buffet
11+ years old are just the buffet price

Guests under 21 are not charged for the bar.
Soda bar $12 per kid would apply.

Kids meals are available for any age.  See menu for options 
 

How Do I Book A Tasting?



Wedding Tastings
Included in your wedding package is a food tasting for up to four (4) adults.
We offer tastings based upon Chef's availability Mondays - Thursdays at 11:30AM EST.

How Do I Book A Rehearsal Dinner or Brunch?

You can extend the fun with hosting your other wedding day events with us too!  With other cool, unique sites available - these events can have a completely different feel from your wedding day without leaving the resort!

Contact Kristy Harvey directly to secure your site and date.
All sites are 2 hour access with 1.5 hours food service time.

Initial deposit to secure the space is equal to the rental fee.
Final menu options, due 2 months prior.  Final guest count, and final payment will be due 3 weeks prior to your wedding date.

How Can I See My Running Balance?

It is super important to there are no cost surprises when your final balance is due.  If you would like to see your current running balance, with deposits applied, please reach out to Linda Wojak, wedding coordinator.

Share with Linda the number of guests you would like to use to receive a Banquet Event Order (BEO) with your current balance.

How Long Is My Wedding Reception?

The wedding package includes 1/2 hour for the ceremony and 4 hours of reception time (starts from when ceremony ends and cocktail hour starts).

Due to the sound ordinance in the Florida Keys, all events must end by
10:00 PM EST.

For late fall/winter weddings where the ceremony starts before 5:30 PM, you can choose to extend the reception time to meet the 10PM end time.

Extending the reception time costs include:
$500 per hour extra venue time
$400 per hour extra entertainment time
$19 per guest per hour for bar time


After Hour Party 
If you still want to keep the party going after 10PM, the resort's onsite tiki bar, Blue Waters is open until 11PM.  Add some late night munchies at the bar to satisfy that late night craving!
